Our Beliefs

As an autonomous body of baptized believers, we have chosen to associate with the Southern Baptist Convention and embrace The Baptist Faith and Message as a statement of faith. As recorded in the Preamble of The Baptist Faith and Message adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in June 2000, “Baptist cherish and defend religious liberty, and deny the right of any secular or religious authority to impose a confession of faith upon a church or body of churches. We honor the principles of soul competency and the priesthood of believers, affirming together both our liberty in Christ and our accountability to each other under the Word of God.”

We are here to love the Lord as we lead others to the same love. To show our love for the Lord, we resolve to bring people to Jesus Christ and membership in His family, to help them develop in Christ-like maturity, and to equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world in order to magnify God’s name.

Baptism & Lord’s Supper

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord’s Supper.

The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
